A late dinner at Concetto some time back for some respite from a busy week. The concept is great – affordable Italian that doesn’t look too much like what you could make at home by yourself. We ordered what seemed to be the most popular dishes – seafood tagliatelle, squid ink risotto and cod – and two glasses of rather mediocre wine that seemed to overpower the food. While great value for money, as the offerings are incredibly affordable, I’m not sure it warrants the long waiting time (even with reservations made) or the rather rubbery squid. Nevertheless it’s a great addition to the revamped Cathay which seems to be getting much more traffic than my secondary school days! And a great example to show that good food doesn’t have to be pricey.
